Tempi Joins Greece’s River Municipalities Network to Promote Sustainable Tourism Along the Pineios River

The Municipality of Tempi is taking an important step towards the sustainable development and tourism promotion of the Pineios River and the wider Tempi Valley, following the approval of its participation in the Greek Network of River Municipalities.

The initiative aims to combine the protection of the region’s unique natural environment with new opportunities for tourism, cultural activities and local economic development.

The Pineios River at the Heart of Tempi’s Natural Heritage

The Pineios River is one of the defining natural features of the Municipality of Tempi. Flowing through the spectacular Tempi Valley before reaching the Aegean Sea, the river supports a rich ecosystem with significant biodiversity.
